For his part, Prof. Mahmoud Saqr, head of the academy, stated that the program aims to deepen local industrialization and gather scattered research and human capabilities in the same field, and unify its efforts and integration Linking it to industry, civil society and relevant state institutions and toto Providing incentive, appropriate technical and financial support, and creating an encouraging environment to provide innovative and applied solutions based on the outputs of projects and previous studies to develop the national industry in the areas of water desalination, food, medicine, metallurgical industries, spare parts, textile industries, and the microelectronics industry, and each alliance consists of at least 10 sides Including universities, institutes, research centers, civil society institutions, the private sector, and national industry in the field, and the relevant state institutions (three members from each alliance at least from the industry). The number of alliances sponsored by the Academy in the first phase reached 8 alliances with a total funding of 80 million pounds, which is The largest program to link scientific research with industry in an effective way and the goal is to produce or develop a product locally.
