



A workshop is being organized on the Smart Facilities Project in Egypt
The Communications and Information Technology Research Council held as one of the formations of the qualitative councils at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, the second workshop entitled "Pilot project to activate smart facilities" for the Council's roadmap "Smart facilities dependent on things networking technologies in Egypt" In the presence of scientists and those interested in the field of communications and scientific research under the auspices of Dr. Mahmoud Saker, President of the Academy, and Prof. Dr. Hisham El-Deeb, President of the Institute of Electronics Research. The workshop aimed to arrive at applied cooperation frameworks between industry, supply and collection companies and research bodies to make a pilot project for the use of smart meters as it dealt with the foundations of choosing the region in which the initial project is proposed to be implemented, the types of communications that can be used and a comparison between them in financial and engineering terms, and how it can Adjusting old meters, the difference between updating old meters and working with new meters directly from a financial and engineering point of view. And the academy added, that a package of applied research recommendations that benefit scientific research and the communications sector have been reached and put into effect </ p>
